Mabelle RO - Penelope

Mabelle asked me be a guest designer in August - YaY! First assignment was to create a card using a brand new image - Penelope.  Isn't she cute!  Mabelle now has instant download, so no wait to receive your new image.  Also leave a comment on Mabelle's blog and have a chance to win a digi of your choice!
I paper-pieced her dress and then added a bit of shadow with R89 Copic.  The balloons are also paper-pieced.

I have a second layout, which was actually the first card I made.   With all the patterns, I wasn't sure if it was too much and the image gets lost.  Thought I would show it anyway - imperfect stitching and all.

  9. Two great, non-pink and colorful girly designs! You've given her such a nice polka dot dress and I really like the color of her hair as well. Cute!

  10. Your cards are both amazing. I really like the first though - it's one of those deceptively simple cards. It looks like it was simple, but as you look, more and more detail pops out! Thanks for joining us at Card Crafter's Circle this week!
