Little Miss Muffet: Yvonne

We have new releases at Little Miss Muffet!  There are so many new images with this release there will be more tomorrow.  

This is Yvonne.  I thought she looked like a 50's girl, so I paired her with a designer paper from Echo Park's called Happy Days.  All three patterned papers are from this pad.  See all the new releases here.

Also, in case you missed the announcement - Little Miss Muffet has released a new die called Glen Park Door.  This is Barbara's first die design and it is a really fun one.  I had so much fun creating a working door.  You can see my card using this die if you scroll down to my Monday post.

Red Rubber Designs: Liberty

I have one more May release for you before the June release this Thursday.  This is Liberty, one of my favorites.  The background is Ancient Map.  I've had these images for a long time and never thought to put them together. So happy both images are available again at Red Rubber Designs.

Lady liberty is stamped on Kraft cardstock with embossing ink and embossed in black.  I painted the image with green metallic paint.  The map is stamped with memento black ink on kraft so I could add some color with Copic Markers.  Copic Colors: B41, YG13, YG21.

The outer edges of the images were distressed with ink (raw sienna, cognac, burnt umber) and a stipple brush.

Mabelle RO: Gigi

Happy Mabelle Monday!

Today, I have a image from the last release called Gigi.  The designer paper is Simple Stories "Fabulous". The background is a patterned paper from the paper pad, I just added some stitching.

The sentiment is a rubber stamp from RRD Friendship Blocks.  It is stamped on a tag, there are several pages of tags in this paper pad, which makes a quick and easy card.

LMM: Park Glen Door Die

There is new release at Little Miss Muffet.  I have been SO excited about this one - Barbara has designed this fabulous die!  There are more dies in the works we are told.  Can't wait!  This is Park Glen Door Die.

I used all the pieces the die punches on this card.  There is the screen door frame, 3 hinges (that work), the door plate with keyhole, door handle and key.  This was SO fun to play with!

The designer paper is My Mind's Eye "Howdy Doody".  I cut the door opening in the patterned paper. I also cut a door out of Bazzill Walnut (Door frame) and Java (hardware).  

To add the screen (thanks Barbara!), I add some double sided tape to the back of the brown door, then laid it on the mesh screen material.  Then I could trim around the perimeter of the door.  This is a 5.5" square card.  The door is approx. 2-9/16 wide x 4.5" tall.  It would make a lovely window too.

I added a couple mini antique brads to make a door knob and hook for the key.  Last night, when I was lying bed I got to thinking it would be pretty easy to make the door latch and the handle work - hmm - next time.  The verse is from a TAC stamp set. 

One other thing - I used my Grand Calibur with this die (normal base and cutting plate) and it cut and embossed all at once.  Love that!
