Crafts Meow - Zoom Goes My Heart

Today is my anniversary and I have the card I made for my husband.  This set is from The Craft's Meow "Zoom Goes my Heart" which was released for Valentine's Day, but is perfect for a guy's birthday or anniversary too.

I had shown this set to Mark and he thought it was a pretty cool set.  I pointed out the sentiment "you're just my speed" and then we joked that the speed was about 30 mph.  I bumped him up to 35 mph. I did make the needle rotatable, so he can set his own speed.  LOL.

The card layout was based on Sketch Saturday #254 from a few weeks ago.

Little Miss Muffet & SBS - Tea Party

This is the card I made for the Guess Who game over at Simply B Stamps for the combined SBS and LMM release April 4-6th.  Now that the game is over, I thought I would post my card.

I combined several digis using Photoshop to create this image, both Simply B images and Little Miss Muffet.  Then in Microsoft Word, I cropped and sized the image and added the black border.

Papertrey April Blog Hop Challenge

Today, I'm joining in the April blog hop over at PaperTrey Ink.  The theme is 'Tilted' - design on an angle.  I made several cards, here is the first one...

I embossed some PTI white cardstock using PTI Hexagon Die, then cut some white cardstock with the die.  I stamped the cut hexagons using the stamp set Happy Hexagons and inks Enchanted Evening, Canyon Clay, Kraft, Ripe Avocado.  The stamped hexagons were glued onto the embossed panel creating the angled pattern.
 
The sentiment is stamped on a tab I cut using one of the PTI Half and Half Dies. I added a knotted ribbon to finish the card. 

Since I had the frame left of the hexagon pattern, I wondered if I could create the same stamped pattern with it using it as a stencil.

I taped the frame down to my scratch pad, so it wouldn't shift.

Here is how my experiment turned out.  A really quick card.

Card 1 Supplies --

My second card is a really simple one.  I used Just the Ticket and the coordinating ticket border die.

Here is my third card design.  I used a couple PTI sets Funky Florals, which I think was a free set with purchase a few months ago, "Beautiful Blessings" and the Half and Half Die Collection die.

Taylored Expressions - Tick Tock

Today, I have another birthday card, one perfect for anyone I think.  The image is from Taylored Expressions "Tick Tock".  This stamp set comes with the coordinating clock die.  Love that.

The clip board and notepaper is also a die from Taylored Expressions.  The lines are from a PaperTrey Ink set Just the Ticket and is stamped in PTI Aqua Mist ink.  Taylored Expressions has a notepaper stamp but I don't have that stamp - yet ;).

The clock image is a layer of 3 pieces of cardstock.  I found some silver metallic cardstock at Joann's and used that cardstock for the die cut clock and the clipboard clip.  I stamped the clock on red and white cardstock then cut out the clock components and layered them on the silver die cut, then added the silver brad in the center.

A|Muse - Seasonal Branch

Today, I have the card I made for the homebound ministry and a few others in April.  I had a few thank you and thinking of you cards I needed to get out too.  I ended up making 12 cards and thought it a perfect any occasion card.

This card was inspired by a card Marisa Alvarez created for Madison Mingle 2012 - last March.  I ended up buying the set from her last year at Mingle and this Spring I finally created my version.  

The branch and flowers are an A|Muse stamp set Seasonal Branch.  The woodgrain cardstock is also from A|Muse.

The image was stamped on PTI white cardstock that is die cut with Lil Inkers Rectangular Stitched Mats.   The inks are PTI Dark Chocolate, PTI Simply Chartreuse and Memento Angel Pink.  

The flowers are a cluster of 3.  I stamped 2 clusters on an extra piece of white cardstock and cut them out to add some dimension.  I used E29 Copic marker for the brown center of the flowers. The "Just a Note" sentiment is from a Crafts Meow set "Happy as a Lark".

I got a new watermark recently, created by Karen Giron.  I love her blog "the sweetest thing" and I saw on her side bar she sells watermarks.  Really cute ones too.

PaperTrey Ink - The Sweet Life

Today, I have a series of cards I made one weekend using PaperTrey Ink "The Sweet Life".  This set is such fun!  

The roses are stamped in 3 layers from light to dark; Memento Angel Pink, PTI Autumn Rose and PTI Scarlet Jewel ink. The leaves are 2 layers, PTI Simply Chartreuse and PTI Ripe Avocado ink. 

I stamped several flower backgrounds and they all turned out slightly different.  The one above I added a stamped die cut frame and sentiment which is a set from My Favorite Things "Die-namics Polka Dot Greetings".   

The second card, I simply stamped "Happy Birthday" which is from the PaperTrey Ink set "Happy Hexagons".  Then, I added a few pearl accents.

The set PTI "The Sweet Life" has a coordinating die for the roses and the leaves.  For this card I wanted to use the dies.  

So, I created a couple different cards using the different rose sizes in the set.  The background and sentiment are TAC.  The ribbon is PTI Simply Chartreuse.  

The rose is stamped on PTI white cardstock.  The leaves are stamped on PTI Spring Moss cardstock. 

The last card I created is this years Mother's Day card and a slight variation of the previous birthday card.  The background and sentiment are TAC Beauty of a Woman.   

I used the cluster of 3 roses for this card and the rest of the leaves that I had left over.  I actually used everything I had die cut! These were my female cards for February, March and May.

PaperTrey Ink - Just the Ticket

Today, I have a birthday card to share.  I made this one for all the guy birthdays in March and April.  This set is Just the Ticket from PaperTrey ink.  

The string of tickets is a PaperTrey Ink die - Just the Ticket border die.  This is a really great die.  The tickets are perforated like real fair or amusement park tickets.

The patterned papers are My Mind's Eye "Dilly Dally".  The cardstock is PTI Pure Poppy, Aqua Mist and Harvest Gold.
