Your Next Stamp - Perfect Chemistry

Happy Saturday!

Today, I have another birthday card.  I made a few of this design for all my math and science people this year.  This set is from Your Next Stamp, Perfect Chemistry.  It is a super cute set.  The scientist and Eureka are from this stamp set. The birthday hat diagram is Tim Holtz and the HB2U is from a CC Designs set "HB2U" by Amy R.

The distressed patterned background is a stamp I found on Amazon.  I was searching from stamps and ran across from really inexpensive sets,  They are straight from China so they take time to receive but low enough cost to take the chance on the quality.  I was pleasantly surprised by this Shoresu Clear stamp set.  I stamped the background in VersaMark Ink.

The scientist image was cut out with my Brother Scan N Cut.

This first version in PTI Enchanted Evening blue, has the patterned paper from Simple Stories Urban Traveler.

This is version 2:
Cardstock is PTI Pure Poppy red with
pattern paper Simple stories Smarty Pants.

Version 3 is also in Red, with red graph paper.

Happy Saturday!

I have a new post, a birthday card I made for our grand-niece who turned 2 on Thursday.  I had some time last Saturday to make January birthday cards.  It was so nice to stamp and color, first cards for 2019.

This card uses a digital image from 2 Cute Ink - Birthday Turtle. It is colored with Copic markers and the patterned papers are Simple Stories "Summer Fresh".  The image was cut out with my Brother Scan N Cut.

Copic Colors:
Turtle: G40, G43, G46 and E21, E23

PaperTrey ink - Hands of Time

Happy Saturday!

Today I have a card I made with a new set I got from PaperTrey Ink called "Hands of Time".  I've liked this set since it first came out however since it was on their retiring list I decided to get it.  I looked on their website and the stamp  set is no longer available.

I created 2 cards using Papertrey Ink inks Soft Stone, Smokey Shadow and True Black.  Cardstock is PTI Soft Stone and Smokey Shadow. The patterned paper is PTI Soft Stone.

The clock faces were stamped, on the Soft Stone cardstock, in Smokey Shadow ink and it is hard to see in the picture but they are stamped in soft stone ink also to create a watermark background.  The hands were stamped in black and cut out using my Brother Scan N Cut, which makes it easy.

Christmas Cards 2016

Happy Saturday!

This year for my Christmas cards, I made two variations of the same card.
I made 97 cards this year, about half of each design.
I cut the white panel with the star cut out on my Brother Scan N Cut.

I stamped the mini Nativity in the lower right hand corner.
The stamps are from PaperTrey Ink - only $5 for a great mini nativity!

The inks are PTI Enchanted Evening and Dark Indigo.
Cardstock used is PTI White and Enchanted Evening.

The second card below, I used stamps from Taylored Expressions - Rejoice!

I added Metallic Silver Washi tape strip down the left side and also
to the blue cardstock behind the star, so it would be silver.

A great way to add a little sparkle.

Inside Verse:

And she will bear a Son, and
you shall call His name Jesus, for He
will save His people from their sins.”
Matthew 1:21

May the beautiful gift of Jesus
fill your home this holiday season
and throughout the coming year.
 Merry Christmas!

It was nice to make a handstamped card this year.
The last couple years I used printed images for the sake of time.

Next week, I will have another Christmas card prototype,
which I hope to use next year.  This has never happened, imagine to
have a Christmas card design a year in advance and even a few made!

Happy Anniversary

Happy Saturday!

Today, I have a card made on my Scan N Cut machine.
I saw something similar on Pinterest but did not have the dies, so
I created the heart cut pattern on my machine.

I used notebook cardstock from Amuse Studios and cut
3 hearts of various sizes using my Scan N Cut machine.

I added the stitching around the hearts with a black pen and
the Happy Anniversary sentiment.  Then backed the front panel
on red polka-dot paper with pop dots.

One last embellishment of a ribbon and the card with finished.

I used this same design for Mother's Day cards too.

Sketch Saturday Challenge #326

Happy September!

It is Lizy's DT week at Sketch Saturday and Lizy is the sponsor.  She is a Stampin' UP! demonstrator and she has put together a great prize package.

Here is Lizy's sketch #326...
 My Interpretation:
I used an image from a new etsy store called Drawn with Character.  I found them in July and the store is less than a year old.

Krista was an illustrator/animator for Disney and it shows in her sketches. She will be an upcoming sponsor.  :D  So many cute images, I could not help myself.  I bought quite a few.  This is You Color My World.

My stitching kind of got lost in the polka dots (MME Remarkable).  Wish I would have had some black thread.

The heart and image were cut on my Scan N Cut machine.
