Today, we have our last {Totally Awesome Chicks} design team post. Red Rubber Designs will be opening in January 2011 and TAC images will be available again - VERY exciting!
I chose a Nina B set which appeared in the last TAC catalog "Sew Lovely". I also used TAC Maggie SWIC and cardstock.
The image was stamped on white cardstock, the dress on the blue Maggie cardstock and the bow on the dark pink Maggie cardstock. I cut the dress and bow out and paper-pieced them on the white cardstock. I love this technique.
I outlined the image with W-2 gray Copic marker. The ribbon is also from the Maggie coordinating ribbon.
The second announcement is the wonderful giveaway at Creating from the Heart. Melissa is having a year end giveaway - some lucky winner will receive a $150 gift certificate to Michael's, a set of 36 Copic markers, a Copic color swatch book and a Copic airbrush starter kit. Amazing! She has all the details on her blog Creating from the Heart. Just comment and follow her blog that is all you have to do.
We are having a {TAC} Blog Hop today!! The theme for December is Softpencil and Phyllis Harris designs which appeared in 2011 TAC catalog.
I chose 2 Phyllis Harris sets, since they were Christmas sets. This first card uses "Holly Jolly". Love this "Stuart Little" looking mouse - So cute! I used TAC Reece SWIC and cardstock for both cards.
The image was colored with Copic markers and the present was paper-pieced using a tag from the Reece SWIC. Copic colors: R29, R59, E11, E31, E35, E47, W1, BG72, 0
The second card uses "Love and Joy" another Phyllis Harris Christmas set. The background wallpaper is TAC Reece SWIC. I overlaid the image onto the background paper. You can see this a bit better in the close up.
As an extra card - because 2 wasn't enough and I wanted to show a Softpencil image too. This specific Softpencil image was not in TAC's catalog, but a few of the Tinytwinies characters Molly, Sunny and the little birdie, appeared in other sets.
This rubber stamp is sold through Latina Crafter. The set is called "Molly, Sunny and Reindeer". Love this cute winter image with a bunch of Softpencil characters together.
We would love it if you joined us! Please use a Softpencil or Phyllis Harris stamp set that appeared in The Angel Company catalog.
Add your creation using the linky below and a direct link to your blog.
We have great blog candy! Two lucky winners will be randomly chosen from hop participants.
Prize 1: Softpencil/Latina Crafter
Our own Diana Maldonado {Latina Crafter} is donating a new rubber stamp set {brand new release, Hello Cupcake}. Elizabeth Pujalka {Softpencil Studios} is donating 2 sheets of her stickers! How cute are these!?!
Prize 2: Phyllis Harris Phyllis Harris is donating the new book she illustrated - My Book of Prayers! Her “Brandy and Emma” and new “Happiness Is” girl stamps are now available at Unity Stamps.
This hop ends Tuesday, December 20th at 11:59 pm, we would love to see what you create!
Today, I have 2 fun Christmas card to share. The first card uses 2 TAC sets, "Spirit of Christmas" and "Running Stitches".
The trees are paper-pieced with a Mabelle RO paper Vintage Holiday. I loved this paper! These trees are great for paper-piecing because they are simple triangles.
This second card uses the TAC set "Cheers". Again I used MRO Vintage Holiday paper and paper-pieced the ornament.
We only have 2 more posts for the {TAC} Design Team. A blog hop (Softpencil & Phyllis Harris) Saturday, December 17th and the last post will be December 28th. The goal of this design team was to keep Angel Company's images out there.
Well, The Angel Company was purchased by a former angel and will be re-opening online January 2011! It will be a retail, online store rather than direct sales company! So LOVE that!
The new company name is Red Rubber Designs. Exciting right? So bookmark Red Rubber Designs and check back in January! If you have Facebook there is a page there too where you can get updates. I can't wait to see what will be available.
The winning comment on my blog is by Christine Pennington! Congrats Christine - you will receive one of the images I used for the hop and also be entered into the grand prize drawing for The Elf on the Shelf gift set.

I'm excited! My new sewing machine (Brother CS-6000i) arrived Wednesday evening from Amazon, so of course I had to try it out. How amazing it is to have a machine that actually works! It has features I didn't even know I needed too - LOL! Debbie Olson recommended it last week on her blog so I looked it up on Amazon and thought why not?
