PTI - Mountain Majesty Birthday

 Happy Saturday!

Today, I have a birthday card using PaperTrey Ink Mountain Majesty.  This is a retired layered stamp set.  The base mountain was stamped with Soft Stone and 2nd layer is Smokey Shadow ink.  For the peaks of the mountains, I used white paint.  I used ink pads Olive Twist and Prairie Grass and a blending brush to color in the front of the mountain range.  The sky is colored with light blue chalk.

I added a Happy Birthday banner (PTI Birthday III) and popped some stamped fir trees.  Matting is PTI Smokey Shadow cardstock and base card is Spring Rain.

My Favorite Things - Being with You Valentine

Happy Saturday!

Today, I have the Valentine I made for Mark.  I used My Favorite Things "Being With You" clear stamp set.  It is really a sweet stamp set with several cute images to choose from bunnies, bears, turtles and birds. 

Close Up: 

I stamped the images on X-Press It cardstock with Mementos black ink.  The birds were stamped on a separate piece and cut out.  I colored the images with Copic Markers and applied light blue chalk to the background.  The birds were added with pop dots.

Spellbinders - Loves Me, Loves Me Not

Happy Saturday!

Today, I have a birthday card with some fun techniques.  The stamp set is from Spellbinders - Loves Me, Loves Me not and sentiment called Happy Sentiments.

  I stamped the image on kraft cardstock.  The leaves are painted with watercolors and the petals are chalk pencil.  I made dew drops with FSJ glaze.

This second card is stamped with Veramark ink to give a guideline for the image.  The leaves are colored with alcohol markers and the petals are chalk pencil.  I added some black pen details and dew drops also.

Cardstock: PTI White, Kraft, Black.

On the Railroad

Happy Saturday!

Today, I have a masculine card using a Tim Holtz set - On the Railroad.

I showed a tutorial using a cling mount 
rubber stamp a couple weeks ago, 
using the We R Memory Keepers Precision Press.

In case you missed it...

Since this stamp comes indexed with the image,  

I placed my cardstock on the base, then positioned the stamp on the paper.

Closed the acrylic cover...

now your stamp is ready for ink...

ink it up...

 Close the cover and press evenly.
So easy.

Now, here is the card I made.  I colored it with chalks and 
added some jute cord and a metal gear embellishment.

2016 Year In Review

We are down to the last Saturday in 2016, can't believe it!
