DDH1 Challenge: Distressing ~ Week 1

Ready for a Challenge?

Today is our very first challenge and Michelle is our hostess on the DDH blog.  The challenge is distressing.  

This distress challenge runs until Sunday, March 20 and you can play along!  Make a card using a DDH image and show us your favorite distressing technique.  You can link your card image on the main DDH blog and you will have the chance to win blog candy -- Vintage Garden Labels -- from DDH also! 

I used DDH digi image Cherry Blossom Bird today for my card in this challenge.

I sponged and inked the edges of all the papers.  I added v's in the papers to created more of a distressed look.  The matted paper then was slit, inked the edges and rolled over the paper.   

Supplies: TAC Winchester SWIC, cardstock and hardware; Copic Markers: BG72, BG75, BG78; YG91, YG93, YG95, YG97; V17; E31, E33, E35, E37, E09, 0;  Inks: Palette Cognac and Burnt Umber 

There will be a second post March 14th on the DDH blog with more distressed samples. I will be posting another card idea next Monday.

Seeing Shamrocks Blog Hop

DDH "Dreams" Blog Hop

Happy March!

Today is our 1st Digi Design House (DDH) Dream Team blog hop and the theme is "Follow Your Dreams". 

I used Vintage Garden Labels.  This is a great set - so versatile.  I added the sentiment in Word before printing the image out on Copic paper.

Three mystery Design Team members will be giving away the Cool Chicks set from Digi Design House to a random commenter on their blog post. You have until 6:00PM CST on Thursday, March 3 to comment. At 6:01PM, the number of comments will be tallied, and the random number generator will do its magic to pick the winner. You don't know which team members have the candy, so make sure you comment on EACH stop in the hop.
