2 Cute Ink - Penguin Fun!

I have some fun news today.  A couple weeks ago, I got an e-mail from Heidi the illustrator and owner of 2 Cute Ink asking if I would join her design team.  She was starting a challenge blog too - well I love challenges and her images are just the cutest, so it was a pretty easy decision.

The first 2 Cute Ink challenge and new release is Monday, Feb 17th.  Laura had a fabulous post on Monday using a 2 Cute Ink penguin.  I couldn't wait and I needed a birthday card, so here is my penguin card.  This is Penguin Fun

A Random Fan: Baby On Board

Hi All,

Today, I have a card I made for a new challenge blog - A Random Fan Challenge Blog.  Sherry has a relatively new etsy shop and just LOVE her images.  You can check out all her cute images HERE

Last week, Sherry announced her design team and challenge blog.  This is their first challenge!  Challenges start on Tuesday and run 10 days, so there is still time to join.  This first challenge is use a digi.

I used an A Random Fan image called Baby on Board.  This is a card for my niece who is expecting her first child in July.  Yay!  We haven't had a baby in the family in so long.  I'm looking forward to a baby shower this Spring/Summer.

Here is the cute picture she posted on Facebook for an announcement.  She is a bit of a techie girl as well as her husband. They were married 10.01.10 - because it is binary code...when decoded 100110 = &.  Perhaps a bit techie is an understatement.
The baby is loading.  This is what happens when a math girl marries a computer science guy.

Here is a close up of the colored image.

Sketch Saturday Challenge #295

Happy February!

We have a new sketch challenge starting today at Sketch Saturday.  Cathy is hosting this week and arranged a fabulous sponsor - A Day For Daisies.  The prize is $12 gift certificate!

Cathy also designed this awesome sketch...
Here is my interpretation of the sketch:
I had several A Day For Daisies images so I used one I bought last Fall for this challenge.  This is Five Robins in Winter

I printed the image 3 times and layered it to created the 3 layered rectangles in the sketch.  The background panel for the images is embossed with a woodgrain texture.  I thought this was a unique interpretation of the sketch.

The front and center image I colored with Copic markers: E30, E31, E33, E35, E37, E47, R20, R24, B21, B23, W0, W1, W2, 0.

The cardstock used is PTI White and True Black.  The saddle stitch ribbon is PTI Blueberry Sky.  I added a black button with white floss.

You can see all the DT's creations using this sketch and enter the challenge HERE.

Challenges:
Crafty Catz - Anything Goes
Frosted Designs - Winter Blues
The Crafter's Cafe - Use Ribbon
Digi Haven - Snow Buddies
