My Favorite Things - Being with You Valentine

Happy Saturday!

Today, I have the Valentine I made for Mark.  I used My Favorite Things "Being With You" clear stamp set.  It is really a sweet stamp set with several cute images to choose from bunnies, bears, turtles and birds.

Close Up:

I stamped the images on X-Press It cardstock with Mementos black ink.  The birds were stamped on a separate piece and cut out.  I colored the images with Copic Markers and applied light blue chalk to the background.  The birds were added with pop dots.

Copic Colors: E57, Y38, R30, R32, R35, B01, YG05, YG07
Cardstock: PTI Spring Rain & New Leaf

Unity - What a Buck Birthday

Happy Saturday!

Today, I have a masculine birthday card to share using a stamp from Unity called "What a Buck".  I paired it will PaperTrey Ink patterned papers called "3-piece suit" and cardstock Dark Chocolate, Kraft and Vintage Cream.

The layered die is a really old one from Clear Dollar Stamps - Designer Label set of 3.  I'm not sure where or when I bought it, possibly a craft show over 10 years ago.  I think it really dressed up this card with the layers and eyelets.

The sentiment is from My favorite Things - Itty Bitty Birthday.  I inked the edges of the stamped image and sentiment label with PTI inks Honey Nut and Dark Chocolate.

Simon Says Stamp - Even More Spring Flowers Birthday

Happy Saturday!

Today, I have a birthday card I created for my niece who turned 25 this month.  I used a stamp set from Simon Says Stamp! - "Even more Spring Flowers" for her card this year. The sentiment is PaperTrey Ink "Signature Greetings II", retired set.

In November some friends came and we stamped and colored all weekend.  They wanted to learn how to color with copic markers so these flowers were used as practice images.  We stamped several of each image on a sheet of X-press It cardstock and used the Brother Scan N Cut to cut them all out.

Close Up:

Copic Colors: RV21, RV23, RV25, G21, G24, G28, YR21, YR23
Cardstock: PTI Berry Sorbet, PTI Green Parakeet,
PTI Pale Peony patterned paper

Taylored Expressions "Seasonal Sprig" Christmas

Merry Christmas!

Today I this year's Christmas card to share, using Taylored Expressions "Seasonal Sprig" stamp and stencil set.  I stamped the sprig first with black ink.  I used my We R Memory stamp press to position the large stamp and help create a production line for the 65 cards I sent out this year.

The stencil really makes it so simple to color.  There are 2 full stencils one for the berries and another for the leaves.

I applied the color with blending brushes applying the lighter ink 1st filling in the image then coming back with the darker shade to add depth.  It went pretty quickly and is really a dramatic effect when you lift the stencil.

I used papers and inks from PaperTrey Ink.  Cardstock Scarlet Jewel (shown above) and Olive Twist (below).  Inks were Pure Poppy (lighter) and Scarlet Jewel (darker) for the berries and Olive Twist (lighter) and Ripe Avocado (highlight) for the leaves.

The stamp set has some great sentiments.  I chose "Let Heaven and Nature Sing" for the front.

Inside the card I used verse Luke 2:10-11

“I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord” - Luke 2: 10-11
