I rotated the sketch (upside down).

I used Babe Moon Lullaby and the patterned papers are by Studio Calico Storytime.  I loved this paper because there is a calculation at the bottom for the distance to the moon and back.  :D  So perfect for the mom and dad this will be going to.

2 Cute Ink Callenge #106 - Use Glitter

Happy Monday!

There is a fun new challenge at 2 Cute Ink today - Use Glitter!  The image is Panda Love. I need a couple anniversary cards this month, so this image seemed perfect for our friends and the challenge too.

I don't use glitter all that often but I love it.  Seems like I always have trouble with the glue and coverage.  So this time I tried something new {to me}.  I printed out 2 images, die cut one and colored the heart using Copics.  Then applied crystal accents {rather than glue} to the heart and added Prisma Glitter.  Wow - super glittery, great coverage and dimensional.  Where has this technique been all my life ;).

The super cute panda were colored on the second image, cut out and popped on the heart.  So glad the glitter photographed well too.

Happy Mother's Day

 

Happy Mother's Day,

I learned of a new stamp company (well new to me) through a friend called Stamping Sensations.  They sell real rubber stamps.  The image I used today is called Flowers in Glass.  It came mounted on cling foam, cut and indexed too!

Card #2: The Craft's Meow - Potted Garden

This one is for my mom.  She loves red geraniums and I usually buy her some for Mother's Day.  This year we sent flowers to both moms.  This stamp set is a Craft's Meow set 'Potted Garden'.  When TCM was closing and this set was on clearance, I knew I needed this set.  I'm excited I used it for the purpose it was bought too.

Sketch Saturday Challenge #309

Happy Saturday!

Here is this week's sketch #309 and I designed the sketch this week.  I was thinking May flowers and a specific flowerbox die I had not used yet when designing it.  Simon Says Stamp carries the die too!

I used a set by Nina B "Stitched Flowers".  The flowerbox die is from Poppy Stamps.  I paperpieced the flowers and leaves, then added buttons to the centers.

I needed an anniversary card for today.  Some friends from church are celebrating 25 years by renewing their vows this afternoon.  This turned out to be a quick card and I think it turned out to be quite elegant too.
