Stampin' Up! - Art Gallery

 Happy Mother's Day Weekend!

Today I have a card made using Stampin' UP! "Art Gallery".  I used Impress markers to apply ink to the stamp, blending Lilac and Peony Purple for the bloom and Spring Green and Emerald on the leaves.

Close Up:

I added some stitching to the main image and also some spring green and white bakers twine. The cardstock is Bazzill Grape Slush, PTI Lilac Grace and the gingham paper is MFT Gingham Galore.

Unity Stamps - Possible, Not Easy - Sympathy

Happy Saturday!

Today, I have a sympathy card to share.  A good friend's father passed away in January after a long battle with Alzheimer's, such a heart breaking disease.

I had just ordered some stamps from Unity and there were several great sets which would work for a sympathy card.  They were having a birthday sale in January, stamps were 50% or more off.  This is one set I bought - "Possible, Not Easy".  I love purple cone flowers.  The script background is also from Unity stamps - "A Faithful Letter" which has a combination of scripture verses about God's faithfulness.

I love purple cone flowers, which were colored with copic markers.  The script is a separate panel, finished with purple ribbon to hide the edge.  I added some wavy stitched, which was a way to correct my first stitched pass which was a bit uneven.  I haven't used the sewing machine in quite some time and I had to refill the bobbin which I dread, only took me an hour to get it to feed through without binding up - LOL.  It was worth it I think.  I love real stitching on a card.

Close Up:

Cardstock: PTI White & Amethyst Allure

Ink: Memento Black

Copic Colors: V20, 22, 17; YG91, 93, 95; E35

Altenew Dotted Blooms

Happy Saturday,

Today, I have an encouragement card to share.  Mark's mom had some surgery last month and his sister's family are in the process of relocating.  New job, new house, preparing the old one for sale - lots to do which is exciting, exhausting and stressful.

So, I was making a birthday card the other weekend and decided making some cards to send his mom and sister our prayers would be a good thing during this chaotic time.  I used a new set I got from Simon Says Stamp! made by Altenew - Dotted Blooms

Card #2:

Cardstock, inks and papers are all PaperTrey Ink.  Card 1 is Pale Peony, Berry Sorbet and Kraft.  Card 2 is Aqua Mist and Kraft.  Added some stitching with my sewing machine and a shear ribbon.

Nina B Spring Printable Postcards

Happy Sunday!

It has been awhile since I posted, but have created quite a few cards so far in 2018.  So I have a few upcoming posts scheduled.

I printed out some of Nina B's Spring postcards late last year, with the intention of making some cards over the Christmas break.  I didn't get to it during my time off, but in January I was able to get some cards made using these printables.  I added some stitching and lace to make these cards.

It is always nice to have some cards on hand when you hear of someone having surgery, going through a loss or needing encouragement.  There are also a couple birthday postcards in the Spring set.

Unfortunately, these print files are not available on etsy anymore, NinaBPrintables may be available by request.  You can see Nina's latest creations on Facebook.  I think her art is a wonderful inspiration.

Here are 2 using the 'Praying for You' postcard...

I also made a couple using the 2 Happy Birthday postcards.

Lastly, I've used this post card before and I just love it.
Makes a great card of encouragement for anyone.
